Project Akhilesh Yadav:

At SIMC, we the SIMCians are suppose to complete seven projects in two years. The purpose of doing the projects is to get a hang of the industry and the work as well. After working on the documentary on Kanpur, the interest of making documentaries end up in making another documentary which was on Mr. Akhilesh Yadav son of a very well known national leader Mr. Mulayam Singh Yadav.

The process started almost a year back from calling the officials to getting dates for the interviews and research on his life, achievements and education. This January I finally went also for the project, from handling camera to asking questions to research everything was done by my own.

Well if we talk about Mr. Yadav he is well educated, well behaved and very down to earth. At times people misunderstand politicians but he is entirely a different personality as a professional and also as a person too. He has been the Member of Parliament from past eight years now. During the interview with him he discussed about the achievements of the party or about youth and also I was little surprised after knowing that Amity college belongs to Samaj wadi party, which is not very known to the common people. Now he has been selected as President of the party for Uttar Pradesh. Well I would wish that the final video on him will really provide worth full information to the society.

My dream turning to reality...

I’m from Uttar Pradesh more specifically Kanpur. I did my schooling from Aligarh and Kanpur and passed my 12^th standard in science background and then an interest of doing something different made me join Frankfinn Institute of Airhostess Training. After completed my graduation in Arts particularly in sociology and English literature, Side by side I completed six years in my vocal classical music and did Prabhakar in music. A sudden and pleasant change came to my life when I got selected for Symbiosis, Pune. Wanted to join a course related to Media but was more focused for journalism. The day I saw the prospectus and the sub categories of the MBA Programme I completely changed my mind from journalism to Communication Management/ Public Relation which has a sub category EVENT MANAGEMENT (Masters in Business Administration). Just the thought of might be getting a chance to work with Wizcraft made me so overwhelmed that I dint try for any other organization.

Day one experience was all about waiting, waiting and waiting and finally after 4 hours, the HR of the company called me for the interview. Oops interview seems to be a heavy word that was just a short interaction of two minutes with the HR Mr. Nitin Vinod. After few interactions with him on phone I made up a little image about him in my mind as his voice is extremely impressive so thought the person is very tall with a nice build clean shaved (as generally HR’s have) but it turned to be exactly opposite because he has an average height and with moustache and even a tiny beard. Then I’ve been asked to leave and the hope of getting a call for an internship made me wait for few days. The next visit to Wizcraft again made me wait for near about 3 hours and a call of final joining from 30^th October (the next day) made me happy. While waiting in the office gave me ample of time to observe others. First of all the person on the front desk and a part of admin team Kannu seemed to be sweet and which she is, she has proven herself to be a great help. The next surprise was the entry of a car with a little high speed entering the door of Wizcraft with a left turn and sudden right turn getting out of the boss of the promotions team (I gotta know later that he is the BOSS) giving the keys of the car to the guard in a different manner, his very clear and crisp driving really made an immpression beacuse I love driving and appreciate good drivers ;). Then again sitting and watching the fishes in the aquarium was also a fun and that was for the first time that I dint get aggressive for waiting. After that was the entry of a very tall lady with a pleasant personality she is in the Admin (The Head) and also helps the HR- Manager, very helpful and my Boss for now. Again today I was introduced to Shalini ma’am awesome personality and chander sir (funny and sweet/ he has a motor in the throat). The other three ladies who are frens now are harneet kaur1 (as she says kaur k aage 1 lagana kyunki ek aur hain issi naam ki ma’am ), sweta (snow white) and meenakshi who is in the call center of Wizcraft. The only problem by now in Wizcraft is that they hardly give me any work and why don’t they understand that I’m here for work…………. Hoping for the best and ready for the shocks in the box…….
